EJTA 2024 AGM

The Journalism and Digital Media Department at Babeș-Bolyai University will host the 2024 European Journalism Training Association General Meeting (EJTA AGM). Babeș-Bolyai University is Romania’s largest and top-ranked academic institution, with a multicultural academic tradition dating back to 1581. Join us in Cluj-Napoca, the “heart of Transylvania”, on 16-18 October at the College of Political, Administrative, and Communication Sciences for the preconference meetings, EJTA AGM, followed by keynote presentations and discussions on “Reporting Europe. Journalism Education & Multiculturalism” as well as carousel presentations of BIPs and ongoing international projects of EJTA members.

A. Brainstorm (Room T1): What do EJTA members expect from pre-conference activities and task forces? After some years of pre-conference meetings, taskforces and projects, the EJTA Board really wants to hear your opinion and wishes for the future.

B. Teaching environmental journalism (Room T2)In preparation to the Rome Teachers’ Training 2025, we want to brainstorm with you on possible approaches and share best practices.

If possible, we recommend you book your travel in advance and fly directly into Cluj-Napoca, which has a well connected airport, close to the city center (Unirii Square). The event venues are in walking distance (10-15 minutes on foot) of the city center (see the maps below). The two venues are in walking distance of each-other (150m).
